Aleksandra Hurkała
Aleksandra Hurkała was born in Szczawnica. Graduated from the Music Secondary School in Cracow under the direction of Mrs Marzena Stępniewska. She is a graduate of The Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the piano class of prof. Jarosław Drzewiecki. Her pianistic skills have been perfected at master classes in Poland and abroad conducted by noted professors, including Kevin Kenner, Wojciech Świtała, Viera Nosin, Aleksander Zvirblyte, Andrzej Jasiński and Monika Sikorska-Wojtacha. In 2018 she took part in The VI International Master Course for Young Pianists in Radziejowice organized by The Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw.
Laureate of many piano contests, including:
• 2nd Prize at the International Piano Competition in Druskininkai, Lithuania (2012),
• 2nd prize at the International Piano Competition in Copenhagen (2014
• 1st Prize at International Master for Music Teachers in Warsaw (2014),
• The “Individual Music Forum” award, received from the Chairman of the Program Council at the 8th International Piano Forum in Sanok (2013),
• Laureate of the Polish Art Festival “Orzeł 2016” in the music category,
• Special prize from the mayor of Szczawnica for outstanding achievements in the field of art (2014).
