Marcin Pękala perfected his piano and performance skills at music courses with several outstanding pianists and teachers, i.a. prof. Waldemar Wojtal, prof. Waldemar Andrzejewski, prof. Grzegorz Kurzyński, prof. Paweł Zawadzki, mgr Maria Niemira, prof. Tatiana Szewczenko and prof. Petras Geniušas.

He is a laureate of both national and international piano competitions, among others in 2019 he won the 1st prize in the 1st International and 5th National Chopin Piano Competition in Turzno, and in 2017 in a piano trio scheme he received the 2nd prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition in Vienna.

He performs solo and with chamber music ensembles; he took part in a series of concerts promoting young piano talents organized by the National Institute of Frederic Chopin.
