Maciej Wota
Maciej Wota was born 5 December 1992. He graduated from The Frederic Chopin University of Music of piano playing with prof. Jerzy Sterczyński.
He participated in many piano master classes with professors such as: Andrzej Jasiński, Józef Stompel, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Boris Petrushansky, Rem Urasin, Nikolai Demidenko, Ludmil Angelov, Janina Fialkowska, David Dolan. Furthermore he took a part with masterclasses on period pianos with professors: Tobias Koch, Andreas Staier and Paolo Giacometti.
Maciej Wota is a laureate of many piano competitions: first prize and a special prize for the best performance of Chopin mazurkas in X International Chopin Piano Competition in Antonin (2008), second prize in IV International Chopin Piano Competition in memoriam
G. Ferenczy in Budapest and prize for the best performance of Chopin Polonaise (2010), fifth prize and Chopin Prize in IX International Competition for Young Pianist Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam in Bydgoszcz (2011), laureate of 46. Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk (2012), special prize of Chopin-Gesellschaft Rheinland-Pfalz on X International Chopin Piano Competition in Darmstadt (2013), semifinalist of The Second Australian International Chopin Piano Competition in Canberra (2014), distinction on IV International Piano Competition Halina Czerny-Stefańska in memoriam in Poznań (2017).
He performed in Poland, Germany, Norway, England, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Hungary, also in Australia and USA.
Maciej Wota graduated from Bachelor’s degree of organ playing with prof. Jarosław Malanowicz. He is a semifinalist of 2nd International “Kurt Bossler” Organ Competition in Freiburg (2016) and he is a laureate of the First Prize in 5th Academic Organ Competition “Romuald Sroczyński in memoriam” in Poznań (2016).
From 2008 to 2011 he was a scholar of Polish Childrens’s Fund.
